Assistant Director Jobs - BCAS Recruitment:

Qualification in Details:Bachelor’s Degree from a recogrlised University; and (ii) five years experience in police or security Or intelligence department Of GöVCrnment of India or State orUnion territories or Sector_Undertaking or Autonomous Organisation. The departmental officers in -the feeder category who are in the direct line of promotion will not be eligible for consideration for appointment on deputation. Similarly, deputationists shall not be eliglble for consideration for appointment by promotion. Period of deputation (ISTC) including period of deputation (ISTC) in another ex- cadre post held immediately preceding this appointment in the same or some other organization/department Of the Central Government shall ordinarily not to exceed four years. The maximum age limit for appointment ‘by deputation (ISTC) shall be not exceeding 56 years as on closing date Of receipt Of applications to the post.

The candidates selected for deputation/lncluding Short-Term Contract (iSTC) to the post Of Deputy Director will be governed by the terms and conditions of deputation laid down in the Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances & Pensions (Deptt. of Personnel and Training 0M No. 12/1/2009-Estt (Pay-I) dated 28th August, 2014 and 6/8/2009-Estt. (Pay-II) dated 17.062010 as applicable and amended from time to time.
The candidates will have option to either draw pay in the scale of pay applicable to -them in their parent organization plus deputation (duty) allowance or have their pay fixed in the scale. of pay applicable to deputation4ncluding Short- Term Contract (ISTC) post:

About Bureau of Civil Aviation Security

The Bureau of Civil Aviation Security (BCAS) was initially set up as a Cell in the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) in January 1978 on the recommendation of the Pande Committee constituted in the wake of the hijacking of the Indian Airlines flight on 10th September , 1976. The role of the Cell was to coordinate, monitor, inspect and train personnel in Civil Aviation Security matters. The BCAS was reorganized into an independent department on 1st April , 1987 under the Ministry of Civil Aviation as a sequel to the Kanishka Tragedy in June 1985. The main responsibility of BCAS are lay down standards and measures in respect of security of civil flights at International and domestic airports in India.
