Qualification in Details:
1. Minimum qualifications: M.Sc with minimum 55% for general and OBC Category (50% for SC/St/PH) in the above mentioned subject areas (viz. Biotechnology, Life Sciences, Microbiology, Botany, Plant Sciences, Chemistry, Zoology, Animal Sciences, Fishery Sciences and any other relevant branches).
2. Preference will be given to those holding valid CSIR- UGC NET-JRF, DBT-JRF, ICAR-JRF, ICMR- JRF and DST-INSPIRE Fellowship while NET/SLET/SET qualified and GATE qualified candidates (90 or above percentile) are also encouraged to apply. Reservations of seats: 15% for SC, 7.5% for ST. 27% for OBC (non-creamy layer) and 3% for physically Handicapped as per statutory norms.
3. Fellowship: The Institute currently provides a Fellowship stipend of Rs. 25,000/- - Rs. 28,000/- per month + HRA + Rs. 50,000/- Annual Contingency

Selection Procedure
If the number of JRF and INSPIRE qualified candidates are large, selection will be based on interview of the JRF and INSPIRE qualified candidates only. The selected candidates may be registered for Ph. D in any recognized Universities in India.

Applications send by email with scanned copies of required enclosures will also be accepted and can be sent to director.ibsd@nic.in. However, in such instances, the application will be processed only after the receipt of the mailed hard copies.

About IBSD Recruitment 2018
Institute of Bioresources and Sustainable Development (IBSD) was registered on the 26th April, 2001 under the Manipur Societies Registration Act, 1989. The State Government has provided the newly constructed Science & Technology Building at Takyelpat on Lease basis to the Institute to start with. The State Government has also taken a decision to provide 15 acres of suitable land free of cost and has further committed that once the Institute gets itself established, experimental fields in different agro-climatic zones in Manipur can be arranged later on. Thus the birth of IBSD took place at Takyelpat Institutional Area, Imphal - 795001 (Manipur) on the 26th April, 2001.
