Technical Consultant Vacancy At Department of Chemicals and PetroChemicals

Subject: Appointment of Technical Consultant in O/o Chemicals and Petrochemicals-reg.

It is proposed to engage technical consultants in this Department on following terms and conditions:-

1. Position: Technical Consultant

2. Minimum Educational Qualification:-

Master's Degree in any branch of Chemistry (but excluding Bio-Chemistry) from a recognised University or Degree in Chemicals Engineering/ Chemicals Technology from a recognized University/Institute.

3. Experience:-

Retired officers under the Central / State Governments/ Union Territories/ Semi Government Organizations/ Statutory bodies/ Universities/ Public Sector Undertakings/ Autonomous bodies/ Research Institutions recognized by Government, fulfilling the following conditions:-

a) Retired at least at the level of Deputy Secretary or D-level Scientist to the Government of India or equivalent with minimum five years experience in Chemicals/ Petrochemicals Sector. OR

b) Retired at least from E-6 level or equivalent from Central/ State/ PSUs with minimum five year working experience in relevant Sector.

(iii) The consultant proposed for engagement shall be well acquainted with the functioning of Central Government Ministries/ Departments.

(iv) The engagement shall be initially for a period of one year or whenever regular incumbent is /are available whichever is earlier. 

(v) Working hours shall normally be from 9.00 AM to 5.30 PM during working days including half an hour lunch break in between. However, in exigencies of work, he/she may be required to sit late and he may be called on Saturday/ Sunday and other Gazetted holidays.

(vi) Consultant shall be compulsorily required to enroll himself in the Aadhar based Biometric Attendance System (BAS). Attendance registered by the staff in the BAS only shall be taken as proof of their attendance in the office and on the basis of which fee /remuneration will be paid.

(vii) The engagement may be terminated at any time by the Government or the Consultant without assigning any reason by giving a notice of fifteen days. The engaged consultant also reserves his/her right of termination of contract of engagement by giving the Department one month's notice in writing or payment of remuneration of one month.

(viii) For officers who have retired from Central Government or organisations having pension scheme similar to Central Government, the engagement would be governed by OM no F. No 3-25/2020-E.IIIA dated 09.12.2020 issued by Dept of Expenditure as may be amended from time to time

(x) For Retired officers from Semi Govt. organisations/ Statutory Bodies/ Universities/ PSUs/Autonomous bodies/ Research Institutions recognised by Govt., that are following pension scheme dissimilar to Central Government the remuneration would be upto a maximum of Rs. 85,000/- per -month and the consultant shall be eligible for 1.5 days leave for each completed month of service. However, accumulation of leave beyond a calendar year may not be allowed.
