2. Name and Number of Position(s): Junior Research Fellow (02 position)

3. Emoluments Fixed per month: Rs. 31000/- + 24% HRA

A. Name of the Project: DBT-CoEIB Project “Integration of plant and parasite omics to decipher the interactions and identify molecular targets for the management of root-knot disease of rice”

a. Essential: Master’s degree in Genetics/ Plant Breeding/ Genetics and Plant Breeding/ Botany/ Zoology/ Biotechnology/ Life Science/ Nematology with 4 or 5 years Bachelor’s degree with 1st Division or 60% marks or equivalent overall grade point average in Bachelors and Masters degrees.

b. Those with 3 years bachelor’s degree must have UGC/CSIR/ICAR NET qualification or equivalent or Ph.D. in any of above disciplines (As per ICAR memorandum F.No. Agri. Edn./6/27/2014/HRD Dated 13.07.2015 and F.No. Agri. Edn./6/27/2014/HRD Dated 09.10.2015)

c. Desirable: Experience in handling rice crop, mapping populations, molecular markers, basic molecular biology techniques

B. Name of the Project: DBT project “Global perspective of transcriptome, proteome and metaboleome of root-knot nematode effectors conferring host specificity and host response to them during disease development”

a. Essential: Master’s degree in Nematology/Botany/ Zoology/ Biotechnology/ Life Science/ Entomology/ Plant Pathology/Agriculture with 4 or 5 years Bachelor’s degree with 1st Division or 60% marks or equivalent overall grade point average in Bachelors and Masters degrees.

b. Those with 3 years bachelor’s degree must have UGC/CSIR/ICAR NET qualification or equivalent or Ph.D. in any of above disciplines (As per ICAR memorandum F.No. Agri. Edn./6/27/2014/HRD Dated 13.07.2015 and F.No. Agri. Edn./6/27/2014/HRD Dated 09.10.2015)

c. Desirable: Experience in basic molecular biology techniques and tissue culture techniques, and plantparasitic nematodes

Age Limit:

The age limit for all the positions is 35 years max. Age relaxation of 3 years for OBC and 5 years relaxation for SC/ST and woman candidates as per Govt./ICAR guidelines. Minimum age should be of 18 years as on date of interview.
