Applications are invited for the following position through the CSIR (EMR-II) Project, No 80(0092)/20/EMR-II, Dated 17/09/2020, awarded to Dr. Rakesh Kumar Singh (PI). The candidate will work on a project "Study of polarimetric parameters from Laser speckle” under the guidance of Dr. Rakesh Kumar Singh (PI) at IIT (BHU) Varanasi and Dr. Bhargab Das (Co-PI) from CSIO (CSIR), Chandigarh.
1. Position: Junior Research Fellow (JRF)
2. Emoluments (per month): Rs. 31,000 (for first 2 years), Rs. 35,000 (from 3rd year onward), Plus HRA as per rule.
3. Duration of the Position: Initially, the appointment is for one year but it can be extended for two more years depending on the performance. Meanwhile, the candidate may be registered for Ph.D. program at the Physics Dept., IIT (BHU) to complete the PhD thesis after fulfilling the required criteria.
4. Qualification: Possessing M.Sc./BE/B.Tech or equivalent degree with 55% marks and passing of NET/GATE test (Candidates having experience/interest in Laser, Optics and physics are encouraged)
Maximum: 28 years
(i) The PI has the discretion to restrict the number of candidates to be called for interview to a reasonable limit by qualifications and experience higher than the minimum prescribed in the advertisement.
(ii) The selected candidate is expected to join immediately.
