Online interview for one position (Project Associate) in a sponsored R&D project We are looking for a young, creative, and enthusiastic candidate with expertise in scientific computing to contribute to a DST sponsored research project conducted as part of National Supercomputing Mission (NSM) titled “Repository of High-Performance Phase-field Solvers for Microstructure Simulations (MicroSim)”

3. Essential Qualifications: M. Tech. from a reputed institute with hands-on research expertise in Phase-field Modeling, Parallel Computing (CUDA, MPI), Finite Volume and Fourier Spectral Methods. M. Tech. from Departments of Mechanical Engineering/ Metallurgical and Materials Engineering/ Computer Science and Engineering/ Electrical Engineering are encouraged to apply. For applicants with M. Tech. degree, post-graduation time is from 2020 till date.

4. Desirable: Project is purely computer simulations-based where the candidate is supposed to develop highperformance phase-field codes using GPU-based and hybrid GPU-CPU parallelization. Prior knowledge of CUDA and Numerical Methods such as Finite Difference, Fourier Spectral Methods is desirable. Experience in Phase-Field Modeling of Microstructural Evolution during Solid-to-Solid Phase Transformations will be considered a plus. Experience in developing and implementing codes on HPC (GPU cluster, CPU cluster) is desirable.
