IIT Hyderabad Announced Job Notification For Research Associate Vacancies - Freshers Can Apply

Qualification in Details:

1. We are looking for a young, creative and enthusiastic candidate to contribute in a DST sponsored research project as pan of National Supercomputing Mission (NSM) titled "Robust Wind Energy Conversion System — when deep learning meets sustainable energy utilization."

2. Position available: 1 RA (Research Associate)

3. Essential Qualifications:

a. PhD in research areas like Machine leaming in Process Systems Engineering, Multi-objective optimization, Evolutionary algorithms, Deep learning (LSTMs and CNNs), Surrogate modelling, Optimization under uncertainty, Bayesian Non-parametric methods, Nonlinear control using Reinforcement Learning, Modelling and Simulations, from a reputed institute.

b. Graduates from Departments of Chemical engineering, Artificial Intelligence are encouraged to apply.

c. Graduated (PhD) between 2016 to till date. (Scholars who have submitted their thesis will also be considered)

d. At least 5 international peer reviewed journal publications in aforementioned areas.

4. Desirable: The project is purely simulations based where the candidate is supposed to build codes for training ANNs (on static, dynamic and image based datasets) without the use of open source platforms for solving Mixed Integer Nonlinear Programing problems, building A1 based wake models and performing wind-farm layout optimization and control under uncertainty using strategies from Reinforcement learning. The codes will be run on High Performance Computers and thus prior experience in parallel computing, and wind energy conversion systems will be considered a plus. Candidate should be fluent in CJFortran, Matlab and Python.

5. Monthly stipend: As per the revised GOI norms listed by DST.
