3. Title of project: Development of sensors blast and blight disease and stomatal activity measurement in rice (O sativa L)

4. Emoluments: Rs. 54.000/- pm

5. Duration: For the period up to May 2022. or till end of the project whichever is earlier

6. Qualifications: PhD (completed) in the area of plant Biology. Candidates With in-depth knowledge plant growth regulators research and PhD research experience in rice developmental biology and metabolomics is must. Candidate must know how to develop rice transgenic line, confocal microscopy, laser micro dissection (L.DM), in-situ hybridization, with having relevant publication in reputed journals. Candidate should have excellent writing skills, evidenced by high-quality peer-reviewed publications. Notable academic record of a Bachelor's and a Master's degree in Plant Sciences with First class.

7. Job description: To develop non-invasive sensor (E-Nose) to detect rice disease based on volatile emission, GC_ MS based volatilomics of rice. pathogen culture, in-situ hybridization, laser micro dissection (LD M). confocal microscopy. infection studies with blast and blight of rice, gene expression analyses, manuscript writing etc.
