4. Qualifications: ME/M.Tech in Mech./MetaIIurgy/Materials Engg. with GATE qualified Candidates with B.Tech/M.Tech from II Ts (CGPA > 8) are exempted from GATE/NET as per Institute rules

5. Emoluments: Rs. 31,000/month

6. Duration : 3 Years or up to the duration of the project

7. Job description:

i. Aim is to study the cyclic behavior and fracture damage mechanism of A1-alloy under the combined effect of corrosive environment experimentally and to model the material's characteristics in air and in 3.5% NaCl solution (equivalent to sea water).

ii. Project work requires basic knowledge of material mechanics behavior, fracture mechanics. Should be able to work in an independent environment. Skills like SEM, Optical microscopy analysis, EBSD analysis, welding with prior experience in experiments/modelling/simulations are preferable but not obligatory.
