Qualification in Details:

1. Post: Associate Professor

2. Eligibility Criteria: Post Graduate Degree in Arts/ Humanities/Sciences/Commerce with a minimum of 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system isfollowed) 2. P.G. Degree in Education (M.Ed.) with Minimum 55% marks. (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) 3. Ph.D. Degree in Education 4. An Assistant Professor or above who has a minimum 08 years of teaching experience in Department of Education at University level/College of Education and/or as a Teacher Educator in institution of Teacher Education with PG Teacher recognition and/or research experience at equivalent level at the University/National Level/State Level Institutions with evidence of having successfully guided doctoral candidates and/or equivalent research work. 5. A minimum of 7 publications in the peerreviewed or UGC listed journals and a total research score of 75 as per the criteria given in Appendix II, Table-2, UGCRegulations-2018.
 

3. Pay Scale: As per 7th Pay Academic Level 13A Initially, Rs. 131400+allowances

General Information :

1. Only print copy of online application with required enclosures will be accepted. Applicants must send hard copy of the application on or before 07/05/2020 till 6:00 pm along with all supporting documents relating to Age, Educational Qualifications, Caste, Physical Disability, Experience, other documents and Academic Performance Indicators (API) wherever required or else the application will not be considered. Candidate must send scanned copy of the application and all attachments in a pen drive along with hard copy of application. Applicants must produce original testimonials, certificates and other documents at the time of interview, if called. Applications incomplete in any respect will not receive any consideration at all and will be rejected.

2. The Last Date for feeling up Online Applications is fixed as 30/04/2020 till 6:00 p.m.

3. The candidates must possess the required qualifications at the time of last date for online application in the advertisement by the University i.e. 30/04/2020 till 6:00p.m. Experience and qualification will be reckoned as on last date for Online Application. No updating of qualification and experience will be entertained after the last date.

4. Candidates for the post of Associate Professors must fill and attach Academic Performance Indicator (API) based Performance Based Appraisal System (PBAS) along with the print out of Online Application form, failing which the applications will be summarily rejected. The score provided against the given categories in each column must be supported by documentary evidence, without which no claim on account of Research/Academic score would be entertained.

5. Candidate applying for the post of Associate Professor must provide data for separate segment on Academic and Research Score in online application from as per UGC Regulations, 2018. Candidate must fill score in respective field for different categories 1 to 6 as per UGC Regulations, 2018, Annexure-2, Table 2. The total score of various categories must be entered at the end of the form in prescribed format.

6. Candidate has to submit conversion table from Grade/CGPA to percentage in case of mark sheet with Grade/CGPA without fail.

7. Candidates belonging to ‘General’, ‘EWS’ and ‘SEBC‘ category are required to pay application fees online Rs. 1,000/-, while candidate belonging with S.C. and S.T. category are require to pay online Rs. 500/-. Application without payment of required fees will be considered as incomplete application and shall be rejected. Candidate belonging to SC and ST category shall provide copy of necessary valid caste certificate issued by competent authority with application form. Application fee will not be refunded once the form has been submitted by the applicant.

8. Applicants are advised to submit the applications to the University well in advance without waiting for the last date to avoid postal delay or any delay due to other unforeseen events or circumstances. The University will not be responsible for any postal delay at any stage.

9. Rules and Regulations of University, Indian Institute of Teacher Education (appointment of Teaching and other academic posts) – Regulations - 2019 shall be applicable to all the posts in the advertisement, and as updated fromtimetotime. 10. Candidates who desire to apply for more than one post will be required to apply separately with necessary application fees.

11. It is the sole discretion of University for filling any post. The University reserves the right to fill or not to fill any or all the posts, without assigning any reason and no notice will be issued in this regard.
 

12. The University shall verify the antecedents and documents submitted by candidates at any time during process, at the time of appointment or during the tenure of service. In case it is detected that the documents submitted by the candidates are fake or the candidates have undesirable clandestine antecedents/background and have suppressed the said information, h i s/her servicesshall be liable to be terminated.

13. In case of any inadvertent mistake in the process of selection which may be detected at any stage even after the issuance of appointment letter, the University reserves the right to modify/withdraw/cancel any communication made to the candidates or process done in this regards.
 

14.Relaxation of 5% in qualifying marks for minimum eligibility will be given to SC/ST/SEBC (Non-Creamy Layer) candidate as per norms. A relaxation of 5% shall be provided, (from 55% to 50% of the marks) to the Ph.D. Degree holders who have obtained their Master‘s Degree prior to 19 September, 1991.

15.Candidates applying for the reserved posts should clearly state to which category they belong. They must also enclose a Certificate issued by Tahsildar/Mamlatdar/Mandal Revenue Officer/Equivalent Competent Authority as proof to this effect without which the application shall not be considered.

16. If any case, application for any particular post number is rejected or candidate is found ineligible for that particular post, his/her candidature will not be considered for any other post in any circumstances. No representation will be entertained in this regard.

17. The University reserves the right to restrict the candidates to be called for interview to a reasonable number on the basis of qualifications and experience higher than the minimum prescribed as decided by duly constituted Screening Committee(s) and approved by the competent authority. Call letters for attending interview will be sent only to the shortlisted candidates by speed post/registered post/E-mail. No Correspondence will be entertained with applicants who are not shortlisted to be called forinterview.

18. Selection will be made on the basis of candidate’s overall record and performance in the interview or any other method decided by the University. The University may use seminar/colloquium and/or any other mode as a method of selection.

19. Candidates already in service must submit a NOC from their employer and forward their applications (hard copy) through proper channel. In case the applicants are in service and delay is expected in getting endorsement of the employer concerned on the original application, the applicants may submit an advance copy of the application along with all enclosures directly, (with or without the employer’s endorsement on the advance copy), the applicants will have to submit a ‘NO OBJECTION CERTIFICATE’ along with Vigilance Clearance Certificate from his/her employer to the University at the time of interview.

20.Age of superannuation for all the positions shall be as per Government of Gujarat norms
