Institute of Life Sciences (ILS), Bhubaneswar, an autonomous institute of the Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India invites applications from Indian Nationals to join in the following position.
1. Name of position: Laboratory Technician (01 position)
2. Remuneration: Rs. 25,000/- - Rs. 35000/- (Can be negotiable based upon experience)
3,. Eligibility: Master’s Degree, or equivalent experience in biological, chemical, or physical sciences, engineering, or a related discipline. Strong computer and record keeping skills. Comfortable with troubleshooting and problem solving. Ability to work both independently (with minimal guidance) and as a team member. Previous experience and expertise in electron microscopy or any other high end microscopy technique, Imaging facility, Flow Cytometry, DNA sequencing would be preferred
4. Job Responsibilities: perform tasks related to the maintenance and operation of Electron Microscopes and other high end equipment in support of scientific researchers. The Technician will be responsible for lab management tasks such as equipment maintenance and supporting of other lab members.
