Applications are invited from meritorious sportspersons who have represented the Country / State / All India Inter University tournaments (organized under the aegis of Association of Indian Universities) [National School Games/NationaI Physical Efficiency/drive for appointment to the following posts under sports quota:

4. Qualification: Minimum of a pass in Matriculation or its equivalent.
5. Sports Eligibility:
The proficiency will be evaluated on the basis of their participation in recognized tournaments / events in the calendar years 2020,2019,2018 &2017. The tournaments/events will be evaluated in the following descending order of importance.
i. International Tournaments/Events like Olympics & World Championship.
ii. International Tournaments/Events of regional importance like Asian Games/CommonweaIth Games/Afro Asian Games.
iii. Other International Tournaments / Events like SAF Games.
iv. Domestic Tournaments / Events of National level seniors like National Games, National Federation Games etc.
v. Domestic Tournaments / Events of National level of juniors.
vi. Inter-University Tournaments. National School Games.
vii. National physical efficiency/drive certificate holders.
6. The best of three performances in the calendar years 2020, 2019, 2018 and 2017 will be considered for evaluation. These should be properly filled up in the application.

1. The applicant should attach / upload self- attested copies of the following certificates along with the application.
(i) Matriculation /SSC or equivalent certificate for proof of age
(ii) Education qualification
(iii) Sports/games certificates
(iv) Caste / Community certificate in support of claim. Sports achievements certified by authorities other than recognized by the Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs shall not be considered.
1. Candidates should read the below mentioned terms and conditions and instructions carefully before filing up the form.
2. (a) The application should be strictly as per proforma prescribed. (b) Only one application should be submitted by the candidate. If any candidates submits morethan one application, all the applications will be summarily rejected.
3. Failure to indicate the post(s) will make his/her application liable for rejection without any further correspondence.
4. The application should attach / upload along with the application, the under mentioned forms duly filled up and signed by the respective sports authorities as mentioned in the forms (accompanied by copy of relevant MERIT Certificate/Participation Certificate).
Form -1 for representing India in an International competition.
Form -2 for representing a State in a National competition
Form -3 for representing the University in All India Inter-university Championship organized under the aegis of Association of Indian Universities and obtained at least 3 rd position.
Form -4 for representing the State School Team in National Games for School and obtained at least position. Form -S for awards in physical efficiency performance conducted by Ministry of Education and Social Welfare. Specimen forms are available at the end of this advertisement.
1. The applications will be scrutinized and suitable candidates will be shortlisted for further selection process. Department reserves the right to decide the number of candidates to be called for field trails based on the credentials of the candidates. The selection will be conducted after field trails, which will be intimated to the candidates through their registered E-mail ID / Mobile Number.
2. The recruitment process will be in two phases. In the first phase, the eligible candidates will be shortlisted, as per their option of the post applied for, on the basis of their current form and achievement in sports and games.
3. The short listed candidates will be required to appear for the field trials at Chennai (at their ownexpense). In case any candidate is unable to attend / participate, whatsoever for any reason or having participated in the test is not found fit, he / she would not be considered for appointment.
4. It is clarified that field trials will be conducted to check the fitness levels of the candidates and performance in the field trials will count for ranking purpose.
5 Weightage will be given for the achievement based on the year of participation in recognized tournaments / events in the calendar years & 2017. Performance in the field trials confers no right to appointment unless the department is satisfied after 5.6 such enquiry as may be considered necessary that the candidate is suitable in all respect for appointment to the post,

7. Sports achievements certified by authorities other than recognized by the Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs shall not be considered.
8. Sports person who are already employed in Central Government or State Government or PSU should attach / upload an NOC from the present emplover.
9. The selected candidates will be posted in Tamilnadu & Puducherry region only. The selected candidates will be on probation for 2 years or such period as per the extant instructions Of the Government of India. His/her participation in the tournament/meets on ERhalf of the Department will also be a deciding factor in the declaration of his /her probation.
10. The selected candidates will be required to represent the Income Tax Department, Tamilnadu & Puducherry region, in the tournament/meets as decided at least for 10 years. The selected candidates will also be required to Sign an undertaking that he/she would not seek inter-charge transfer for a period of 10 years.
11. In the event of any tie, the decision of the appointing authority shall be final.
