Qualification in Details:

The Department of Neurology, NEIGRIHMS, Shillong, invites application for the following posts, purely on contractual basis, under the project entitled " Dementia Science Programme: Incidence /PrevaIence/ Risk/ Intervention analysis of dementia and basic research thereof" under the sponsorship of DBT, in collaboration with INCLEN Trust International, New Delhi.

1. Name of the post: Psychologist

2. Number of vacancy: 2

3. Essential Qualification: Graduate in Psychology from UGC recognized university At least 2 years work experience (related to psychology) Proficiency in Khasi and English Readiness to reside in Mawphlang

4. Desirable skills: Higher academic training (MPhil, PhD, etc) Training/Experience in Clinical Psychology (esp. relevant to Dementia or Elderly) Experience in field implementation of projects and involvement in primary community based data collection activities Sound knowledge of research methodology Publications in peer reviewed journals Experience of handling electronic data capture and its related processes

5. Job descriptions /responsibilities:

i. Undertake neuropsychological assessment of study participants using standard toolkits
ii. Coordinate with INCLEN team for effective and efficient implementation of program and other field activities, including monitoring and supervision
iii. Participate in any other project or study activities that may be assigned from time to time
iv. Help in preparation of project reports and other material for documentation and dissemination
v. Undertake travel to other study sites and places as may be deemed necessary from time to time

6. Consolidated amount (Fixed): Rs. 35,000 per month

7. Duration: 8 months on purely temporary basis
