Applications are invited from Indian nationals for the following temporary positions to work in a project entitled “Tailoring the architecture of microstructure in Al-based Al-Cu-Ni alloys to improve the mechanical properties”,
funded by SERB, Department of Science & Technology, Govt. of India. The candidates will be recruited for the period of three years or date of termination of the project. An Online Interview will be held on 7th October 2020 at 3:00p.m. at the Department of Metallurgical and Materials Engineering, NIT, Durgapur. Position, fellowship and qualificationare declared below.
1. Position: Junior Research Fellow (JRF) (Purely on temporary basis)
2. Fellowship: @Rs. 31000/- fixed per month for a period of three (03) years /Date of termination of the project.
3. Number of Post (JRF): 01 (One)
4. Minimum Qualification: M.Tech in Metallurgical and Materials Engineering/Mechanical Engg/Materials Science/Nanoscience and Nanotechnology(minimum 6.5 CGPA or 60% marks)
5. Additional desirable qualification: Working experience in any industry (1-2 years)/Teaching experience in any college/institute/university.
The selected candidate may apply to register for Ph.D degree at NIT Durgapur after clearing the Institutional admission procedure
1. The above position is purely contractual, and is for the duration of theproject only. Selected candidates will not be entitled to claim any regularappointments/absorption in this institute.
2. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
3. Selection process will be based on online interview. The merit list will be published in the Institute website.
4. Candidates will not be entertained after the said online interview slot, except incase of any exigency.The decision of the selection committee will be final andbinding on the candidates.
