1. Name of the Post: Project Management Vertical Head
2. Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering/Technology, Master’s Degree in Technology/Management preferred.
3. Track Record:
a) Minimum 20+ years of relevant industry experience, in software engineering projects
b) Mandatory experience of 8+ years in leadership position for IT delivery functions across multiple technology platforms
c) Significant exposure to Enterprise Architecture, IT Infrastructure, CMMI, ITIL, Agile standard concepts, practices and procedures
d) Exposure to public procurement with keen understanding of applicable frameworks like vigilance and financial prudence
e) Persuasive, passionate and hands-on leader with high integrity, strong communication, interpersonal and stakeholder management skills
4. Certifications: Relevant Project Management / Agile Methodology / Technology / Architecture Certifications will be an added advantage to the qualifications.
5. Location: Navi Mumbai/Mumbai.
The mandate of the Project Management (PM) Vertical is to advise, implement and manage internal or system-wide IT projects (both existing & new) of the Reserve Bank as mutually decided between the Reserve Bank of India and the IT subsidiary, ReBIT. The PM Vertical Head is a Key Management Person (KMP) of ReBIT and is expected to take up the below responsibilities:
1. Complete ownership of the Project Management (PM) Vertical which includes accountability for mission-critical RBI IT Projects and Programs across the various RBI Departments
2. Lead the Enterprise Architecture Office (EAO), Centralised Procurement Office (CPO) and ReBIT’s internal IT Infrastructure function
3. Providing PM Vertical’s operational updates to the ReBIT Board on a regular basis during the Board Meetings
4. Contributing as part of the Core Management Team of ReBIT towards ReBIT’s policies and processes at organisation level
5. Participating in RBI and/or ReBIT constituted Technical Advisory Groups, Technical Committees etc. as nominated
6. Refining and institutionalising the governance and operating framework for the Project Management Vertical
7. Establishing relevant metrics, and defining clear goals with measurement plan for the various teams
8. Driving organizational change management, training and learning initiatives
9. Leveraging industry best practices for continuous improvement
10. Providing management overview in identifying opportunities for cost savings and innovation at ReBIT
11. Managing and influencing internal and external stakeholders, as per the long-term vision, to effectively run the day-to-day operations
12. Monitoring action plans for identified issues and stakeholder escalations to ensure timeliness of resolution
13. Ensuring relevant forecasts, budgets and utilization for cost and resource management including capacity building by hiring the right skills from the market
14. Providing timely, specific and constructive performance feedback to direct reports
15. Mentoring and developing direct reports to their fullest potential and providing them challenging opportunities that enhance their career growth
16. Performing other duties as assigned or requested by CEO/ReBIT Board
