1. Eligibility Employees Wards: Spouse / Son / Daughter / Son - in- law (in case of no Son) and Registered Relations, wherever applicable.

Note 1: Employee Wards/ Registered Relation of ex-employees are also included. Those who have availed of Early Separation Scheme/ Sunhere Bhavishya Ki Yojana/Employees’ Family Benefit Scheme/ Family Benefit Scheme/ Medical Separation Scheme (subject to condition) /Family Support Scheme in lieu of employment, are also eligible to apply.

Note 2: Employees currently on the permanent rolls of Tata Steel Ltd. are not eligible to apply.

Note 3: All candidates, who qualify in the online/ in-person Written Test and are permanent employees of any of the Tata Group Company or Subsidiary or Associate Company of Tata Steel Ltd. will need to bring their NOC at the time of interview, without which they will not be interviewed.

Note 4: Incase the ward/ Registered Relation is selected, the sponsoring employee would forfeit claim for future registration/ employment on his/her length of service as the selected candidate would be deemed to have been employed on the service strength of the sponsoring employee.

2. Minimum Educational Qualification All India Trade Test for Apprentices Pass (National Apprenticeship Certificate) from NCVT in Trades of Fitter (Mech) / Machinist / Turner / Mill wright Maintenance Mechanic / Mechanic Machine Tool Maintenance / Fitter structural / Welder / Gas Cutter / Electrician OR Full time Diploma in Tool and Dye Making from AICTE approved MSME institutes (e.g. CTTC Bhubaneswar, IDTR – Jamshedpur, Jharkhand Govt. MSME tool room – Ranchi etc.) OR Full time Diploma in Tool and Dye Making from RD Tata Technical Education Centre – Jamshedpur / J N Tata Technical Education Centre – Gopalpur

3. Mandatory Experience For National Apprenticeship Certificate Holder, minimum three (3) years of work experience of operation and maintenance of machine shop of repute as on June 1, 2022 after passing All India Trade Test for Apprentices / Full time Diploma from institutions under MSME institutes. For candidates who have passed ITI / ITC (possessing National Trade Certificate), and then passed All India Trade Test for Apprentices (National Apprenticeship Certificate) from NCVT, minimum 3 years of experience in a machine shop of repute, or Manufacturing Industry (preferably those who work in equipment manufacturing facilities) will be counted after passing ITI / ITC. It will NOT include one-year apprenticeship training period which is mandatory for appearing in AITT for Apprentices.

4. Job Profile Selected candidates will be deployed in operation / maintenance at Equipment Manufacturing facilities at TGS Gamharia or any location of Tata Steel Ltd. or any of its Group Companies or Subsidiary Companies, as per the vacant position. All selected candidates (ITI / ITC / Diploma Holders) are expected to operate the machines. Company reserves the right of final placement.

5. Emoluments:

For AITT candidates: The selected candidates will be provisionally placed with a starting Monthly Gross of Rs 12,000 per month, on Fixed Term Contract for a period of 1 (one) year, in the grade of FTC-II . For Diploma in Tool and Dye candidates: The selected candidates will be provisionally placed with a starting Monthly Gross of Rs 14,000 per month, on Fixed Term Contract for a period of 1 (one) year, in the grade of FTC-III The other emoluments & benefits will be as per Company’s rule applicable to their respective grade. Candidates possessing 4 years or more of relevant experience will be compensated suitably as per norms.
