SELECTION PROCEDURE FOR DEPARTMENT OF ATOMIC ENERGY – TECHNICIAN & MORE VACANCIES POST: 

      1. Candidates can apply on or before  31.01.2015.
      2. Objective type Written Test of Two Hour duration with negative marking shall be conducted for both
      3. Category-I and Category-II applicants. Each correct answer will carry 1 (one) mark and each wrong answer will carry ½ [half] negative mark.
      4. Trade test is applicable to Category-II candidates with Educational Qualification of (10 + ITI). Those candidates qualifying in the Written Examination/Trade Test, if applicable, shall be short-listed for Interview.
      5. Selection will be on the basis of Physical Assessment, Command Test as specified below: a) Should be able to run 100 meters in 30 seconds. b) Should be able to lay 4 lengths of hoses each 50 ft. from the appliance within 3 minutes. c) Should be able to climb on extension ladder of 35 ft. length and come down, twice, in 2 minutes. d) Should be able to carry a person of approximately his own weight by the Fireman’s lift method over 25 meters in 3 minutes. e) Should be able to do “Pushups” 20 times continuously. f) Should be able to run 1 mile in 10 minutes. g) Should be able to Conduct : Physical Training, Squad Drills, Fire Fighting Drills, Fire Fighting/ Trailor Pump Operations, Driving Test, Operation of Fire Tenders and Generation of Foam using Foam Tenders. AND Subject to Medical Fitness including the Soundness of Ear Drums and Personal Interview.

While all candidates irrespective of Community/Group will be considered against UR vacancies, against the vacancies reserved for SC/ST/OBC and PH candidates belonging to the respective Categories only will be considered. SC & ST Certificate should be issued by the Specified Authority in the prescribed format and theCaste/ Community should have been included in the Presidential orders in relation to the concerned state. The candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC should clearly indicate the same in the application (even when applying for UR vacancy) and should furnish proof of the same in the specified format at the time of Interview failing which they will be treated as unreserved and subsequent representations for change of community status will not be entertained. 28. TRAVELLING ALLOWANCE : Outstation SC/ST Candidates called for Written Examination / Interview will be eligible for to and fro rail fare by IInd Class (GENERAL CLASS) by the shortest route or the actual fare paid whichever is less, subject to production of tickets / ticket numbers etc. However, Traveling Allowance is not admissible to those SC/ST candidates who are already employed in Central/State Government services, Central/State Government Corporations, Public Sector Undertakings, Local Government Institutions and Panchayats. Travelling Allowance will not be admissible if the Written Examination is conducted ONLINE. 30. The candidates appointed will be governed by New Contributory Pension Scheme. 31. The nature of duties to be performed by the above categories may involve working in round the clock shift duties, in operational plants located at various parts of the country. 32.
