Electronic Arts is hiring FRESHERS for Junior Data Scientist profile
EA is looking for a motivated individual to focus on analysing large sets of data surrounding acquisition, engagement, and monetization and helping to automate this process for game teams, analysts, marketing campaigns, and player acquisition.
The individual should have a desire for data mining, scripting, and problem solving.
This person will preferably have a strong interest in gaming (specifically mobile or social) or a fast paced company where data is core to its operations.
The individual will be responsible for scripting data models, automating data feeds, using BI tools to help visualize data, and various ad hoc projects.

Position:Junior Data Scientist
To work collaboratively with DBAs, data scientists, and analysts to insure that the data needs of EA are being met.
Help script, maintain, and create automated processes for pulling and reporting data
Drive improvement in our methodologies, systems and processes
Be actively engaged in assigned products and develop a deep understanding of game mechanics including gameplay and economy
Have a deep understanding of large data, our data structures, and how to manipulate our data in an efficient manner

Strong analytical skills and facility with Excel (pivot tables, lookups, formulas, formatting)
SQL knowledge a must
Experience with BI and statistical software (Microstrategy, Tableau, R, etc.) and Hadoop a plus
C++, Java, HTML 5, HiveQL knowledge a plus
Passion for gaming, understanding of free-to-play game mechanics in social and mobile games
A desire to learn new methods in data mining/manipulation
Background in statistics, software engineering, data mining, database administration, or other quantitative disciplines is highly valued
