Indian Air Force offers opportunities for UNMARRIED MALE INDIAN CITIZENS from all the Districts of State of West Bengal and State of Sikim to become airmen. The Recruitment Test for Group ‘Y’ Trades will be held at 4 Airmen Selection Centre ,Air Force Station Barrackpore (West Bengal) from 16 Feburary 2014 to 19 Feburary 2014 as per the Selection. Programme given below.
The Recruitment Test will be conducted from 7AM onwards as per the details given below. Candidates reporting upto 10AM at the Rally venue will only be permitted to appear in the Recruitment Rally.

Interview of the candidate passed written exam and PFT on 16 february 2014 and medical for candidate qualified in Interview -17/02/2014

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION :
Passed Intermediate / 10+2 / with Science,Arts or Commerce Subject or equivalent Vocational course or 3 years Diploma in any stream with minimum of 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English. Vocational course should be affiliated /recognised by CBSE / State Education Boards/Councils duly recognised at par with 10+2 by AIU with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English in Vocational Course or in Intermediate / Matriculation, if English is not a subject in Vocational Course
Age Limit: Candidates should be born between 01 FEBRUARY 1994 to 31 MAY 1997 (both days inclusive).
TENURE AND TRAINING : Enrolment is for an initial period of 20 years extendable up to the age of 57 years. Initially candidates will be sent for a Joint Basic Phase Training (JBPT) for 24 wee3ks at Airmen Training SchoolvBelgaum (Karnataka).On successfull completion of Training candidates will be allotted trades and sent for trade training of Spcific Duration.Training is however liable to be terminated at any time if the trainee fails to achieve the required standards in academics, profession, physical fitness and discipline or is found to be medically unfit. After successful completion of training,the airmen will be deployed on ground based jobs as per their allotted trades.
PAY & ALLOWANCES : During training, a stipend of Rs. 8,550/-per month will be paid. On completion of training, starting gross emoluments at the minimum of scale of pay For Groub ‘Y’ trades will be Rs. 19,000/-per month (approximately),in subsequent years may riseup to Rs 35000/-pm depending upon the rank Attained.In Addition ,perks such as Ration,clothing,Medical Facilities,Accommodation,Leave Travel Concession etc.
PROMOTION : Promotion prospects exit up to the Rank of Master Warrent Officer.Opportunities to become a Commissioned Officer also Exit for those Airmen.
SELECTION PROCEDURE : VERIFICATION OF ELIGIBILITY. Certificates / Mark Sheets and other required documents will be verified at the examination vanue on the Rally day before the commencement of the written test.
