QUALIFICATIONS Advanced University Degree (Master’s degree or equivalent) in Political Science, International Relations, Law/Management, Police Administration, or other relevant field. A first level university degree with a combination of relevant academic qualifications and extensive senior experience in law enforcement may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree. A degree from a certified police academy or similar law enforcement training institution is an advantage.
Experience: Minimum of 10 years of active and progressive, strategic, policy development, analytical police experience in operational sector of policing, experience in community policing, experience in community policing and anti-corruption strategies. Minimum of eight years of experience in senior management positions; In-depth understanding of the mandate of the police component in the Mission; Previous UN mission or other international policing experience at a senior level providing strategic advice and preparing analytical reports is a significant advantage;
