Ministry of Road Transport and Highways intends to appoint site engineer (graduate civil engineer) for PIU-Imphal, Manipur having at least 3 years’ execution experience in the field of highway and/or bridge engineering purely on contract basis for 11 months at a consolidated rate of Rs. 40,000/- per month. The interested candidate may appear for walk-in-interview at 4.30 PM hrs on 4thMarch, 2014 in conference room of 25 BRTF Lamphalpat, Imphal, Manipur along dully filled Curriculum Vitae (CV) & original experience certificates. No TA/DA will be admissible for appearing interview.
Educational Qualification & ExperienceThe persons proposed to be deployed shall have –
Degree in Civil Engineering.
At least three years execution experience in the field of road, highway and/or bridge engineering.
Not more than 40 years of age.
The period of contract shall be 11 months initially. However, the contract period may be curtailed/terminated by the competent authority without any further notice on the basis of functional and administrative requirements.
The nature of services required shall include performing duties and responsibilities in the PIU-Imphal and such other duties as may be assigned by the Superintending Engineer, PIU from time to time. Outlines of the major responsibilities are –
Inspection of National Highways in Manipur and reporting to SE, PIU Imphal.
Preparation of technical proposal/cost estimate for temporary and permanent restoration of National Highway works and submit to SE, PIU-Imphal.
Execution of ongoing National Highways works under guidance of SE, PIU-Imphal.
Preparation of draft replies to RTI, Audit Paras, Parliament Questions etc. and submit to SE, PIU-Imphal.
Any other task assigned by the SE, PIU-Imphal.
The contract appointment will not create any right for regular appointment in Ministry of Road Transport and Highways.
The contract appointee shall be required to work normally as per the PIU’s working days, i.e. from Monday to Friday from 09:00 hrs to 17:30 hrs with half an hour lunch break from 13:00 hrs to 13:30 hrs. However, in the event of exigency/urgency of work in public interest, contract appointee will also be called upon to work late or on holidays including Saturdays/Sundays for which no extra remuneration will be paid.
