Name of the Project:- Lesser Himalayas” “Measurements and Modeling of Evapotranspiration and other Hydrological Processes in

Duration Essential and Desirable Qualification: : Three years or till termination or completion of the project whichever is earlier.

Research Associate (RA)-2 Nos. Essential: Doctorate (Ph.D.) in Engineering or Sciences or equivalent degree OR having 3 years of research, teaching and design and development experience after ME/M. Tech. in: Hydrology, Soil & Water Conservation Engg., Meteorology, Agro-Meteorology, Atmospheric Sciences, Forest Hydrology or equivalent Desirable: Experience of working in the above research areas OR Rs.36,000/- +HRA (as admissible)

*Senior Research Fellow (SRF) Essential: Same as for JRF with two years research experience as JRF or equivalent the related fields Desirable: Experience of working in the relevant research areas. Rs.28,000/- +HRA (as admissible)

*Junior Research Fellow (JRF) Essential:1st class Graduate Degree in Professional Courses (B.E./B. Tech.) in Civil/ Agri. Engg./ Environmental Science/ with GATE (at least 60 percentiles) or equivalent qualification. OR 1st class Post Graduate Degree in Basic Sciences (M. Sc.) in Hydrology/Water resources/Agro-meteorology/ meteorology/ atmospheric sciences or equivalent with NET (JRF) or equivalent qualification. Desirable: Having research experience in the relevant research areas.

Job Description: The primary focus of the project is towards the understanding the hydrological processes through field monitoring of eddy-covariance flux and other hydro-meteorological variables. With Hydrology and meteorology as two major component of the project, the job profile includes both the field work (i.e. instrumentation, data collection, travel etc.) as well as desk work (data analysis, modelling, interpretation etc.).

Research Associate (RA)-2 Post Doctorate (Ph.D.) in Engineering or Sciences or equivalent degree or having 3 years of research, teaching and design and development experience after ME/M.Tech. in the filed: Hydrology, Environmental Science, Biosciences, Civil Engg., Water Resources. Desirable: Experience of working in the area of Water Resources/Hydrology/Environmental Science or related fields and data processing using computer. Job Requirement: 1. Field work 2. Data analysis and modelling Rs.36000/-p.m. + HRA (as admissible)

Selection Procedure :

Written Test on29/2/2016.

Shortlisted candidates will undertake face to face interview.

Walk in Procedure :

Maximum Age 35 years as on the date of interview. Higher age can be relaxed in case of candidate having exceptional qualifications and experience by the selection committee. Age relaxation of SC/ST/OBC as per Govt of India rules (2) Candidate may report in N.I.H. in 30 minutes before Interview time. After starting of Interview, admission in the same will not be allowed (3) The post is purely temporary on co-terminus basis and do not entitle the appointee to any claim implicit or explicit or any NIH post. (4) Candidates can directly attend the walk-in-interview alongwith complete bio-data, passport size photograph and original proof of qualification and experience.
