Educational qualification: Vital Statistics Clerk – Candidates must have passed minimum 10+2 from a recognized board in any stream with Basic Computer skill.
Age limit as on 01-01-2016: 18 – 32 years

Preliminary examination – OMR Sheet based 12th standard General Awareness/ Objective questions which current events, General Science, History, constitution of Indian, basic computer and English/Odia comprehension.
Main Examination – 200 Marks General English, General Knowledge, Mathematics and reasoning ability and Computer fundamental Objective type questions in 180 Minutes (3 hours).
