The emoluments for the post of Medical Officer include basic pay, dearness allowances, non-practicing allowance, perquisites and other facilities such as medical facility for self and family, provident fund, gratuity etc., as admissible as per rules of the company. In addition, House Rent will be paid only where company accommodation is not available.
The emoluments for the post of Paramedical Staff on confirmation after 2 years of training will include basic pay, dearness allowance, reimbursement of local travelling expenses and other facilities such as such as medical facility for self and family, provident fund, gratuity, LTC etc., as admissible as per rules of the company. In addition, House Rent allowance will be paid only where company accommodation is not available.
MODE OF APPLICATION:
Eligible and interested candidates would be required to apply online only through SAIL’s website:www.sail.co.in. No other means/mode of application shall be accepted. Before registering their applications on the website the candidates should possess the following:
a) Valid e-mail ID, which should remain valid for at-least two years.
b) Candidates should possess the requisite qualification at the time of applying.
c) For posts Medical Officer (ME-1), Pay in Slip for Rs. 500/- (non-refundable) for Gen/OBC as application fee and Rs 100/- (non-refundable) for SC/ST/PWD/Departmental candidates (Of BSL) as processing fee.
d) For post of Paramedical Staff from Sl.No.01-06, Pay in Slip for Rs 250/- (non-refundable) and for Paramedical staff posts from Sl.No.07-08, Pay in Slip for Rs.150/- (non-refundable) forGen/OBC category candidates as application fee.
e) SC/ST/PH/Local DP/Departmental candidates of BSL will be charged Rs.50/- (non-refundable) as processing fee for the post of Paramedical staff at Sl.No.01-08.
f) The Pay-in-Slip is to be downloaded from the website after filling in the required details.
g) Candidates should have latest passport size photograph as well as photograph of signatures and pay-in slip (after payment has been made) in digital format (.jpg or jpeg file only, of less than 500 kb size) for uploading with the application form.
h) Candidate must write his/her name as it appears in the Matriculation or equivalent examination Certificate. In case of change of name at a later stage necessary documentary proof to be submitted at the time of interview.
i) While filling on-line application the candidate must carefully follow all the steps. Incomplete application /application without fee /application not fulfilling any eligibility criteria will be summarily rejected. No communication will be entertained from applicants in this regard.
j) After applying online, candidate is required to download the system generated Pay-in slip/Registration Slip with unique registration number and other essential details.
MODE OF PAYMENT OF APPLICATION/PROCESSING FEE
State Bank of India has been authorized to collect the application fee/ processing fee, in a specially opened account (SBI Power Jyoti A/c No. 31877168126 maintained by at SBI sector 4, B.S.City branch), on behalf of SAIL/Bokaro Steel Plant. Candidate has to approach the nearby SBI branch with a printout of the pay-in-slip which is available on the Application Registration Portal. The pay-in-slip printed from the Portal only should be used for depositing the fee for proper crediting of amount in the allocated account. On receipt of the money the concerned branch of SBI will issue a unique Journal Number and a Branch Code of the branch collecting the money. This Journal Number and the Branch Code are to be filled up by the candidate during online registration. SAIL will not be responsible, in case the candidate deposits the fee in a wrong account. There will not be any other mode of collection of registration fee. Also please note that an amount of Rs. 20/- will be paid by the candidate as Bank Charges to the collection branch of SBI in addition to the applicable registration/processing fee. The SBI branches will accept the fee from 10.00 AM of the starting date to 5.00 PM of the closing date of submission of online application. Fee once paid will not be refunded under any circumstances. Candidates are therefore requested to verify their eligibility before paying the application/processing fee.

For paramedical posts from Sl.no.01-06, 01 post is horizontally reserved for Hearing Handicapped (PD-Partially Deaf) candidates with a minimum of 40% disability
Upper age limit: (as on 01-05-2013)-28 years for S3 grade and S1 grade
Relaxation in age: – 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC and 10 years for PH candidates. For Ex-servicemen age, relaxation applicable as per rules.
For all posts of Trainees against S3 & S1 grade (Non-Executives) selected candidates will be under Training for a period of 2 years. During the training candidates selected for S3 grade shall be paid a Consolidated pay of Rs 10700/- per month for the 1st year and Rs 12200/- per month for the 2nd year. Similarly candidates selected for S1 grade shall be paid a consolidated pay of Rs. 8600/- per month for the 1st year and Rs. 10000/- per month for the 2nd year. On successful completion of training they will be regularized in S3 and S1 grade respectively
