ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

M.D.(Pathology) or equivalent postgraduate degree recognized by Medical Council of India with minimum 15 years’ experience in the specialty with a proven record of leadership qualities with expertise and maturity to develop and enhance front areas of clinical, surgical and molecular pathology.  The candidate would need to co-ordinate, plan and administer the existing and the new anatomic pathology laboratories of Tata Memorial Centre (TMH & ACTREC), and also provide a thrust to the several educational and teaching activities of the centre.

Selection Procedure for  Tata Memorial Centre (TMC) – Scientific Assistant & More Vacancies Post: 

  1. Candidates can apply on or before    07.2015.

How to apply for Scientific Assistant & More Vacancies Vacancy in  Tata Memorial Centre (TMC) :

  1. Medical Officers will be appointed in the appropriate Scientific Grade and given an Academic Designation as per the Medical Council of India norms. In addition to pay, other allowances including DA, HRA, TA, etc will be admissible as per the prevailing rules of TMC. All officers will be eligible for institutional financial support for active participation in National and International Medical Meetings, Workshops and Conferences after their probation is closed. Medical Officers are entitled to all privileges applicable at TMC. All officers will be covered by a Contributory Health Service Scheme for self and dependants.
  2. Residential accommodation will be provided subject to availability. All are eligible for retirement benefits and pension under the New Pension Scheme.
  3. Candidates may be offered a higher or lower grade than what is advertised based on their working experience, research track record and overall assessment at the time of interview and recommendation of the Selection Committee.
  4. Departmental candidates who are presently in a grade lower than what is advertised may apply for appointment to the higher grade apart from the existing merit promotion scheme. Only exceptionally qualified candidates with proven merit/track record would be eligible for fast track review promotion.
  5. Candidates appointed will be rotated in any Units of TMC based on the needs of the Units concerned as and when necessary.
  6. The TMC also may exercise the option to offer appointments on “Contract Basis” for a fixed term on a consolidated remuneration.
  7. The candidates at Sr.no. 1 to 12 shall submit a Demand Draft of Rs.500/- and at Sr.no. 13 to 20 shall submit a Demand Draft of Rs.300/- drawn in favour of Tata Memorial Centre, Parel, Mumbai – 400012 by Post. Candidates may pay the said amount by using Debit Card /Credit Card. SC/ ST / Female candidates / Persons with disabilities / Ex-servicemen are exempted from paying application fees.
  8. They shall also submit a recent passport size photograph, attested copies of all certificates regarding Date of Birth, Educational Qualification, Experience Certificates, Caste Certificate (in the Government of India format), Physically Handicapped Certificate etc. along with the copy of online application form on or before the last date of receiving the applications to the H.R.D. OFFICER, TATA MEMORIAL HOSPITAL, PAREL, MUMBAI-400 012. It is mandatory to submit a copy of Online application along with copies of relevant certificates, otherwise the candidature will be treated as cancelled.
  9. Skype Interview can be arranged for the candidates presently working abroad subject to availability of the facility, if desired (for Sr.No. 1 to 12). Candidates seeking Skype Interview should submit photocopies of certificates attested by the present employer.
  10. Persons working under Central/State Government/Autonomous Body/ Semi Government Organizations and other Public Sector Undertakings must submit their application through the head of the organization.
