Written Test will be conducted on General Aptitude (including knowledge in English and Telugu) and Domain (Instrumentation). Test papers will be set in bilingual in English and Telugu. Candidates’ shortlisted based on performance in written test will be called for Certificate Verification. Merit list will be prepared separately for each category and candidates will be selected as per the vacancies in each category.
Selection will be through Written Test and Certificate Verification.
Candidates will have to appear for the written test at their own cost. Written test will be conducted at test centre(s) in Andhra Pradesh.

Guidelines for Ex-Servicemen, GENERAL CONDITIONS

Guidelines for Ex-Servicemen:

  • Upper Age will be relaxed for Ex-Servicemen as per Rules.
  • An Ex-Servicemen who has once joined a Government job on civil side after availing of the benefits given to him/her as an Ex-Servicemen for his/her re-employment, his/her Ex-Servicemen status for the purpose of the re-employment in Government job ceases.
     

  • Ex-Servicemen with equivalent qualifications are eligible. An Ex-Servicemen candidate has to produce at the time of Certificate Verification a copy of the Service / Discharge Book along with Pension Payment Order and civil equivalent certificate of his/her qualification with percentage of marks issued by the Competent Authority and valid Employment Exchange Card with Registration Number mentioned during online application.

  • Those who are still in defence service should submit a certificate from a competent authority that they will be relieved from defence services, on or before 01.03.2018. This certificate shall be verified prior to medical examination along with other certificates/documents including valid Employment Exchange Registration Card with Registration Number mentioned in the online registration form.

  • Reservations for Ex-Servicemen will be across the trades / disciplines on horizontal / interlocking basis. If suitable Ex-Servicemen candidates are not available for filling up of posts reserved for Ex-Servicemen, the same will be filled by candidates other than Ex-Servicemen.

  • TRAINING & STIPEND:
    Junior Trainee:

  • Candidates selected for the post will be required to undergo training for a period of twenty four (24) months. During training period, candidates with ITI qualification have to undergo one year Skill Development Course with certification from National Skill Development Corporation, which may be extended for cases where progress during training is found not satisfactory.

  • During Training, Junior Trainees will be paid a monthly stipend of `10,700/- (consolidated) during the first year and a monthly stipend of `12,200/- (consolidated) during the remaining period of training.

  • On satisfactory completion of training, Junior Trainees will be considered for appointment on probation to regular post i.e. Technician, subject to availability of vacancies in any Operation / Maintenance / Service / Mines area with a minimum Basic Pay of `16,800 in the pay scale of `16,800-3%-24,110/- (S-3 Grade).

  • Field Assistant Trainee:

  • Candidates selected for the post will be required to undergo training for a period of twenty four (24) months. During training period, candidates shall be imparted with one year Skill up gradation to National Council for Vocational Training (NCVT) certification level from National Skill Development Corporation, which may be extended for cases where progress during training is found not satisfactory.

  • During Training, Field Assistant Trainees will be paid a monthly stipend of `8,600/- (consolidated) during the first year and a monthly stipend of `10,000/- (consolidated) during the remaining period of training.
  • On satisfactory completion of training, Field Assistant Trainee will be considered for appointment on probation to regular post i.e. Field Assistant, subject to availability of vacancies in any Operation / Maintenance / Service / Mines area with a minimum Basic Pay of `15,830 in the pay scale of `15,830- 3%-22,150/- (S-1 Grade)

  • In PWD Category, posts are reserved for only Orthopedically Handicapped (OL – One Leg Affected); Hearing Handicapped; Visually Handicapped (LV – Low Vision)

  • The selection process will consist of Written Test followed by Interview. Eligible candidates will be required to appear for a Written Examination, information of which will be provided in the Admit card. Candidates shortlisted on the basis of their performance in the Written Test will be intimated to appear for Interview.
  • Written Test:  Written test will comprise of General Awareness, Numerical Ability/Aptitude, General English, Data Interpretation, Verbal and Non-Verbal Reasoning and separate paper for each discipline. Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Ltd, (abbreviated as RINL) also known as Vizag Steel, is an Indian government-owned steel producer. Based in Visakhapatnam, The plans for a steel plant in Visakhapatnam were announced in 1971 by then Prime Minister of India, Indira Gandhi. RINL was established as a separate company in 1982, just before the start of its operations. It has been constructed with collaboration with former USSR and Germany. It is amongst the most advanced Steel plants in India and one of largest integrated steel plants in the world. RINL is wholly owned by the Government of India.
