Who is Bird Psycho in Heartbreak High season 2?
In the second season's fifth episode of Heartbreak High, something shocking happens: we find out that Rowan is actually Bird Psycho. But the other characters don't know until the very end of the season. That's when we learn why he's been secretly messing with Amerie.
It all starts when Amerie tells Harper that she's still in love with Malakai at the formal. Rowan, feeling hurt, runs away. Amerie goes after him, and he traps both her and Harper in a room where he shows them a movie. In this movie, we discover that Rowan and Amerie met when they were kids at a skatepark. Rowan was different then, heavier and called Spud.
Rowan was obsessed with Amerie, but she didn't even notice him. Then one day, a bird fell from a tree, and they named it Eggo and cared for it together. When Eggo died, they held a funeral, but other kids made fun of them. To avoid being bullied, Amerie claimed it was Spud's idea, not hers.
This hurt Rowan deeply, and he destroyed his room in anger. When his brother tried to calm him down, he ran outside and was tragically killed in a car accident. Rowan, overwhelmed with grief, started blaming Amerie for his brother's death and sought revenge. But by the end of the season, Rowan realizes he was wrong and apologizes. Amerie forgives him, and they make amends.
Is Malakai gonna be in Season 3 of Heartbreak High?
Meanwhile, Malakai makes a big decision to leave Hartley High. He leaves a note for Amerie in her locker and hops on a plane to Switzerland without telling anyone. Quinn steps up and becomes class president, while Darren and Ca$h decide to stick together.
But the biggest shocker comes when Voss accidentally sets the whole school on fire and gets arrested! If the show gets picked up for another season, Season 3 will have to dive into whether Hartley High can be rebuilt and how that affects everyone. Unfortunately, the fire burns Malakai's note to Amerie, so she never gets to read it. We're not sure if Malakai, played by Thomas Weatherall, will return for Season 3 or if he's gone for good.
